He attended Etobicoke School of the Arts in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for high school and is a graduate of the Canada's National Theater School. He is also an accomplished musical performer with winnings in various music festivals.

As a kid, he provided the voice of Franklin the turtle, Tommy Settegren in 1997's Pippi Longstocking, and has since co-starred in Strange Days at Blake Holsey High, among other shows. Noah played the role of Darrell Fox in the made for television movie "Terry" which dramatized Terry Fox's historic run for cancer research. Noah also provides the voice for "Gunther" in the animated series Jane and the Dragon, Eddie in Marvin The Tap-Dancing Horse, Screwy in the Rolie Polie Olie film The Great Defender of Fun as well as various characters in Little Bear, Redwall, Mythic Warriors: Guardians of the Legend, Mozart's Magnificent Voyage, Tales from the Cryptkeeper, Timothy Goes to School, Babar: King of the Elephants and Bad Dog. In 2009 the Degrassi The Next Generation guest stared Noah Reid in the episode "Danger Zone". Noah played the "deadbeat from Lakehurst" that held Spinner and Holly J up at gunpoint for all of the money in The Dot.
